Alliance has experienced tremendous growth in membership since our inception in 1988. In 2003, more than 975,000 plan participants were covered under an Alliance contract.

Savings
On average, Alliance payors saved 43 percent on physician billed charges and 20 percent on hospital billed charges (29% excluding Maryland based hospitals).

Network Size
The Alliance network continues to grow each year. In recent years, Alliance has increased its presence in North Carolina, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, in addition to maintaining our extensive network in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area.
